Coming from a family filled with civic-minded entrepreneurs and educators, their guidance and experience fueled many of Brent's endeavors, from a degree in accounting and finance at the University of Memphis to an Executive MBA, with an emphasis in Global Immersion, from Vanderbilt.

He has been recognized locally and nationally, Forbes Next 1000, Top Young Memphian by the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce, and Top 40 Under 40 by the Memphis Business Journal among them.

Today Brent serves as Regional Vice President, Southeast at Cornerstone Engineering, leading the firm's expansion across Atlanta, Birmingham, and Memphis. It is a full-service AEC practice with in-house architects and engineers and a construction license bonded to $20M. He was tapped for the role in September 2024 after more than a decade at Allworld Project Management, where as Chief Administrative Officer he helped scale the firm from roughly $300K to $16M in revenue. His earlier portfolio also includes start-ups like Allworld Media Group and Henry & Robert Investments; project work along the way has touched Crosstown Concourse, the Fairgrounds Redevelopment, Hotel Chisca, South City, The Citizen at Union & McLean, the Pinch, and most recently the Sheraton Memphis Downtown renovation.

Outside the firm: a member of the Most Illustrious Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., a board member and Vice President of Administration for the 100 Black Men of Memphis, and a member of St. Jude's Spirit of the Dream Advisory Board, which raised over $150,000 for young cancer patients in a recent year.

In 2016, he led a nonpartisan campaign to encourage Millennials to vote and served as Executive Producer of the documentary "Why Not Vote?". In 2018, Mayor Lee Harris appointed him to the Shelby County / City of Memphis Film & TV Commission, where he still serves.

His passion for the youth has been exemplified through coaching with Memphis Athletic Ministries and a continued willingness to speak to students whenever asked.
